One person was stabbed on a train in Brussels on Monday afternoon. The victim is severely injured but is expected to survive.
The incident occurred at around 13:00 on board an SNCB train travelling between Brussels Central Station and North Station. The victim was stabbed multiple times and has since been hospitalised.
"The suspect was apprehended by local police at Brussels North station, and the investigation was taken over by the railway police," according to the federal police.
The Public Prosecutor's Office will release more information about the attack during the day on Tuesday.
