A home in Forest was targeted in a shooting on Wednesday night, according to local police.
The attack occurred at 03:45 on Rue Saint-Denis. Unidentified individuals used a Kalashnikov to open fire on a house divided up into several apartments, leaving at least 15 bullet holes in the front entrance.
Some bullets penetrated the stairwell and the ground floor apartment's front door, reports La Capitale.
No one was injured in the attack, the Pubic Prosecutor's Office confirmed. Forest Mayor Mariam El Hamidine (Écolo) has since authorised extra police units to patrol the area.
This latest incident marks the third of its kind on the street in recent months. Another building was targeted in the same way on 1 October. The building targeted this Wednesday was attacked for the first time in the same 24-hour period.
The exact motives behind these incidents remain unclear and an ongoing investigation is determining links between the shootings as well as links to the drug-trafficking trade.
