TUI Fly, formerly Jetair Fly, will stop offering long-haul flights from Brussels International Airport from this winter season, airline spokesperson Piet Demeyere confirmed on Thursday.

From early November, the last Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be removed from TUI fly's Belgian fleet, shifting the airline's focus to short- and medium-haul flights from Brussels. This change means flights to popular tourist destinations such as Punta Cana (Dominican Republic), Cancún (Mexico), and Curaçao will now be discontinued.

TUI stated the decision was made after a careful evaluation of market demand and internal operational factors. The airline plans to consolidate its long-haul operations elsewhere within TUI network.

Belgian customers will still have access to long-haul destinations through partnerships with other airlines or via nearby airports like Amsterdam Schiphol.

Earlier this year, TUI Fly reduced its long-haul offerings from Brussels, maintaining just one long-haul aircraft at Brussels Airport due to high energy costs.
