King Charles III of the United Kingdom will feature in a documentary on Amazon Prime that highlights his charitable efforts, particularly in areas of environmental conservation, his foundation announced on Saturday.

Filming began in January in Scotland at Dumfries House, an estate owned by the King’s Foundation, according to British media. The Times reported that the production team has already spent considerable time with the King.

The King’s Foundation expressed excitement about working with Amazon on this unique documentary. The film will focus on the “harmony” between humans, nature, and the environment. King Charles, aged 76 and battling cancer, has been interested in environmental issues for many years.

The Times stated that the documentary is expected to be released at the end of the year or in early 2024. This collaboration with Amazon marks a shift for the royal family, which typically works with British media outlets like the BBC and ITV for documentaries.

Charles’s younger son Harry, and his wife Meghan, who dramatically exited the royal family in 2020, produced a documentary series with Netflix where they addressed their grievances with the royal family and the British tabloids. In April, Harry and Meghan announced two new projects with Netflix: one about the world of polo, a sport Harry has long played, and another on cooking and gardening featuring Meghan.
