Liège-based company gets €2.5 Million from the EU to develop medicines from goat's milk

Bio-Sourcing, a company based in Liège, has secured an innovation grant of €2.5 million from the European Union.

The European Innovation Council (EIC) Accelerator Programme has also committed an additional €10-million investment, according to the company.

Bio-Sourcing aims to develop biological medicines using goat’s milk.

Through genetic engineering, the goat’s milk would contain a specific therapeutic protein.

The company plans to use the EIC funding to conduct clinical trials with a treatment targeting autoimmune diseases.
