The beer nerds behind the craft brewery Dok Brewing Company have opened a bar on Ghent’s lively Oudburg.
They named it in memory of the many vanished village bars of Flanders that were called De Welkom.
The aim here is to create a simple local bar where everyone feels welcome.
The beer comes from the Dok Noord brewery, but they also serve wine and cocktails, along with cheese and charcuterie from local cheesemaker Het Hinkelspel.
