This laid-back music bar is one of those hidden Bruges spots that most tourists never discover. Located on the trendy Langestraat, it has been around since 1909, but it was recently given a makeover.
When the young couple Vincent De Jaegher and Lisa Demeyere took over the bar in 2017, they installed four huge copper beer vats above the bar, redecorated the walls with vintage wallpaper and put in new lamps.
They serve 16 craft beers on tap along with some 80 bottled beers. But they have kept the dark, mellow mood.
The owners organise concerts in a small soundproofed back room decorated with work by the Bruges street artist Sammy Slabbinck. It’s the perfect spot to discover an indie rock band from Bruges, Ghent or beyond.
