A new neighbourhood is emerging in Leuven on a vast site once occupied by the Stella Artois brewery.
The old industrial quarter overlooking the Vaartkom harbour is being transformed into a trendy neighbourhood with apartments, coffee bars roastery and concept stores.
The café Entrepot occupies a former customs warehouse built in 1956. It has a rough industrial interior with recycled wooden tables, iron pipes and a suspended silver sculpture by Pieter Jansen.
Not far away, the new coffee roastery Madmum serves a perfect barista coffee in a big industrial space. You can also eat a healthy lunch on the waterfront terrace facing old grain silos.
