Amazon reached a stock market valuation of over $2 trillion (€1.87tn) on the New York Exchange on Wednesday. This marks the first time the online retail giant has achieved such a milestone.
With its shares closing 3.9% up on Wall Street, Amazon finds itself among a select group of companies valued at $2tn.
Alphabet, Google’s parent company, has also crossed this threshold, and now boasts a valuation of just under $2.3tn (€2.15tn)
Last week, AI chip provider Nvidia briefly surpassed a staggering $3.3tn (€3.1 tn) in market capitalisation, outpacing both Microsoft and Apple.
