Russia attacked Ukraine with a combination of combat drones and cruise missiles on Monday night. The Ukrainian Air Force said that the cruise missiles were launched from the Russian Volga region, near the city of Engels, on board four Tupolev Tu-95 strategic bombers.

Kyiv modified the alert messages sent to the Ukrainian population on numerous occasions during the night, because the cruise missiles changed their trajectory several times over Ukraine, as combat drones would do. No information on missile impacts has been communicated for the moment.

Several buildings have been damaged by drones near the towns of Obukhiv and Fastiv, south of Kyiv. A woman has been injured, according to the military administration of the Kyiv region. Drones and artillery fire have also caused significant damage in the Sumy region in the northeast of the country, killing one civilian.

Russia's war against Ukraine entered its fourth year on Monday. On the same day, the UN Security Council adopted, with Russia's support, a US resolution calling for a swift peace in Ukraine, but without reference to the country's territorial integrity. Britain and France, meanwhile, have been so alarmed by the United States' rapprochement with Russia since Donald Trump's return to the White House that they abstained from the vote.
