U.S. space company SpaceX has successfully launched a new package of satellites for its Starlink constellation on Tuesday night, the authoritative space.com website reported.

A 70-meter-high Falcon-9 rocket topped with 52 Starlink spacecraft from SpaceX took off from Cape Canaveral in Florida at 4.14 am Belgian time on Wednesday. The first stage returned to Earth about nine minutes later, landing on the SpaceX droneship, A Shortfall of Gravitas, based off the coast of Florida in the Atlantic Ocean.

Meanwhile, the upper stage of the Falcon 9 continued on its way, eventually releasing the 52 Starlink satellites about 15 minutes after lift-off.

The satellites will serve the broadband network that SpaceX is developing in space.

A total of 3,009 such artificial satellites have already been launched for the Internet.
