The death toll from a landslide that occurred on Saturday evening in Venezuela has risen to 36, Interior Minister Remigio Ceballos said on Monday.
"Unfortunately, 36 people have died and 56 others are still missing," Ceballos said in a video his ministry posted on Twitter.
The death toll from the landslide, which occurred in the town of Las Tejerias, had earlier been put at 25 dead while 52 persons had been declared missing.
Venezuela has been hit by torrential rains in recent weeks.
