One lucky The Brussels Times subscriber won a brand new Tesla electric vehicle at The Brussels Times annual Christmas party.
As thanks for your support and The Brussels Times’ transition towards a soft-paywall model in January, we automatically entered all new subscribers into a raffle for the chance to win a Tesla Model 3.
Over 2,000 subscribers supported our project this year and were given the chance to win the grand prize. We are proud to grow our brand and bring quality reporting from Belgium to readers across the world.

In total, five lucky finalists were drawn from the raffle for the chance to win a Tesla. This years’ finalists were:
- John Maltabes, Wetteren
- Agnieszka Szymanska, Brussels
- Noureddine Erradi, Brussels
- James Shaw, Vilvoorde
- Laura Elena Opran, Antwerp
The randomly selected subscribers were invited to The Brussels Times’ annual Christmas party held at the Grand Place Hard Rock Café on 19 December 2022. At the special reception, the five finalists chose among five unlabelled envelopes. Four contained a champagne prize, and one, the coveted Tesla Model 3.
This year’s winner was Laura-Elena Opran from Antwerp. Laura has supported The Brussels Times since August 2022.
