Barack Obama will be in Belgium next month to appear at a tech conference in Antwerp. But how much does it cost to book the former US president?
"An Evening With President Barack Obama" at the Studio 100 Pop-Up Theatre in Puurs (Province of Antwerp) will be a prelude to the tech festival Supernova, taking place in Antwerp on 21-22 March.
The Hawaii-born leader "will give a talk on the challenges we face and his vision for the future".
According to La Libre, Supernova Festival has paid between €400,000 to €600,000 to book the former US president.
The sum is well below how much former US President Donald Trump asks for public appearances at events and conferences, which Het Nieuwsblad reports is in the region of €2 million.
Obama will sojourn in The Hotel in Brussels, as he has previously done while president. He will be in the Splendour suite, which costs €1,136 a night.
