The price of petrol at the pump will fall from Friday, the Federal Public Economy Service (FPS Economy) announced Thursday.
A full tank of 95 E10 petrol will therefore cost a maximum of €1.3760 per litre. This is a drop of 1.4 cents per litre compared to the current maximum price. The reduction is 0.6 cents per litre for petrol 98 E5, with a maximum price of €1.4150 per litre.
These prices are still lower than before the health crisis, as demand has fallen sharply due to containment measures around the world.
The lower prices are the result of fluctuations in the quotations of petroleum products and/or the biocomponents inherent in their composition on international markets.
