This year's edition of the fair will welcome 165 Belgian and international galleries and will give visibility to both established artists and emerging talents. The galleries will be presented in five sections: Prime, Solo, ‘68 Forward, Discovery and Invited.
The Prime section will include 106 galleries exhibiting leading modern and contemporary works, while the Solo section will focus on 27 presentations dedicated to the work of individual artists.
In the Discovery section, 36 galleries will be championing emerging international artists, focusing on solo presentations or captivating dialogues between two young talents whose work is little known. The Invited section will welcome 7 newcomers who stand out for their ambition, innovative programming and, in some cases, their challenge to traditional gallery models.
Finally, ‘68 Forward is a new section bringing together 14 galleries and celebrating the diversity, experimentation and innovative movements that have defined contemporary art since the launch of Art Brussels in 1968. This section will provide a platform for both established pioneers and talent on the fringes.
A Word by Nele Verhaeren, Managing Director of Art Brussels:
"Celebrating renowned artists is as essential to us as championing emerging artistic voices. Guided by the expertise of two distinguished international selection committees, we are thrilled to unveil an exciting lineup of leading gallery projects in the Prime and Solo booths. At the same time, the Discovery and Invited sections highlight a new generation of artists who continue to push boundaries and explore new territories".
"Our entire team is fully committed to fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the 165 exhibiting galleries, our generous and dedicated partners, and the 26,000 expected visitors".
