There are still some 1.2 million tickets available for the Paris Olympics which starts on 26 July until 11 August.
On Thursday, “over 50,000 new tickets will go on sale across more than 30 sports,” Mickaël Aloïsio, from the organising committee confirmed to press, highlighting especially the available tickets to finals of some swimming and athletics competitions.
The Paris Olympics has already broken the record for the number of tickets sold for any Games excluding paralympics, with 8.7 million tickets sold compared to the previous record of 8.3 million held by Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
“We broke the record a few weeks ago,” Aloïsio said, ensuring that there were still “1.2 million tickets” available, many of them for the football, basketball, and handball games taking place in Lille.
From Monday, “tickets will be on sale daily, there will be opportunities until the end of the Games,” Aloïsio assured.
