Russia launched a substantial attack on various Ukrainian cities on Monday, releasing more than 40 missiles, which resulted in at least 29 deaths and multiple injuries, particularly affecting a children’s hospital in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian officials.

"Russian terrorists heavily attacked Ukraine with missiles again, striking different cities including Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk. Over 40 missiles of various types have hit residential buildings, infrastructures, and a children’s hospital," Volodymyr Zelensky posted on Telegram.

Midday reports show an increasing death toll from the widespread bombings within Ukraine.

In Kryvyi Rih, in the central region, the mayor reported at least 10 people killed and 41 injured from strikes that hit a factory specifically. In Kyiv, the prosecutor’s office counted nine deaths and 35 injuries.

Near the front line in the eastern region of Donetsk, Ukrainian authorities announced that "at least three people" had died in Pokrovsk, following morning strikes hitting a factory, as per regional governor Vadym Filachkine.

In Dnipro, military authorities reported one death and six injuries.

Prime Minister Denys Shmygal revealed that Russians fired "cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as Kinjal," air-to-ground missiles.

The Russian Army regularly launches strikes deep within Ukrainian territory, specifically targeting infrastructures like energy facilities and factories, killing civilians in a strategy aimed at undermining Ukrainian morale.

Private energy provider DTEK announced via Telegram that three of its transformer substations in Kiev had been destroyed or damaged.
