Air France and Transavia France are extending their flight suspensions from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Beirut until Thursday, 8 August due to geopolitical instability in Lebanon, Air France confirmed to French news agency AFP on Tuesday.
The resumption of these flights, halted since 29 July, is subject to further appraisal of the situation on the ground.
Various other airlines have also suspended flights to the Lebanese capital amid fears of a military escalation between Israel and the Hezbollah Shiite movement. They include German group Lufthansa, which has suspended its Beirut flights until 12 August.
However, Air France is continuing to fly from Paris to Tel-Aviv, unlike several other airlines that have discontinued this service.
