European Sleeper night trains will accept travellers with Interrail and Eurail passes as of this summer, the company announced on Monday.
From 1 July, Interrail Global Passes and Eurail Global Passes will be valid on European Sleeper night trains, but only in combination with a European Sleeper reservation for a seat, couchette, or bed – these can be purchased via the website from now.

European Sleeper is a typical train for Interrailers: we connect three European capitals, offer a wide range of comfort levels and (last but not least) reintroduce the possibility to enjoy the summer breeze from an open window."
The Interrail Pass is a rail pass available to European residents (residents of countries outside Europe can purchase the Eurail Pass instead), allowing unlimited train travel in (and between) all 33 participating countries for a certain period of time.
Train is the way
"Being a true European railway, we consider this partnership a great way to promote the most remarkable and responsible way to travel across Europe," he added.
The news means that pass holders will have the opportunity to cover extensive distances (such as from Edinburgh to Berlin, for example) by including a European Sleeper journey in their itinerary. And importantly, as it concerns an overnight journey, travellers will only have to use one of their Pass's travel days.

This allows pass holders to maximise its value while enjoying the convenience and comfort of European Sleeper's services.
