The European Commission announced a new aid package for Gaza (Palestine) on Thursday, amounting to €120 million in 2025.
Commission spokesperson Eva Hrncirova highlighted the urgent need for food, medical supplies, and shelter in the Gaza Strip.
Hrncirova stated that this aid, delivered via the EU's humanitarian air bridge, will address the most pressing emergencies in cooperation with partners.
The aid will include food, health assistance, hygiene products and shelter.
UN agencies and other on-site partners will ensure the aid reaches its destination.
The EU's total allocated humanitarian aid budget for 2025 is €1.9 billion, the Commission also revealed on Thursday.
