Prince Harry faces serious accusations of harassment and intimidation from the president of an African charity he co-founded.

The youngest son of King Charles III was the patron of Sentebale until this week, one of the few charity roles he retained after his explosive departure from the British monarchy in 2020.

On Tuesday, Harry announced “with a heavy heart” that he was stepping down from this role amid internal conflict between the board members and the newly appointed chair, Sophie Chandauka.

In a candid interview with Sky News on Sunday, Ms Chandauka accused the prince of trying to force her out of the organisation.

“What Prince Harry wanted to do was eject me, and it lasted for months. It lasted for months in the form of intimidation and harassment,” she claimed, stating she has evidence to support her allegations.

Attempts by Sky News to contact Prince Harry, who is now living in California with his wife Meghan and their two children, were unsuccessful.

Ms Chandauka herself faces accusations of poor governance from some board members, stating there was a culture of “silence” within the organisation. Board members were hesitant to speak out against the Duke of Sussex or discuss contentious issues.

Lynda Chalker, who served on Sentebale’s board for nearly 20 years, criticised Ms Chandauka’s leadership style as “almost dictatorial” in an interview with The Times.
