AB InBev is the latest company to take measures in light of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) epidemic.
The Leuven-based brewing company will take a series of steps in order to support its cafés as the hotel, restaurant and café sector is impacted by the coronavirus crisis.
The measures range from the cleaning of flow facilities to replenishing of old stock with chilled beers when the economy picks up again, to deferring rent that operators are required to pay to AB InBev.

AB InBev follows breweries Alken-Maes and Haacht in doing its part, as these two breweries have also suspended rent due for the use of their premises.
The world's leading brewing group estimates that it will be devoting around a million euro to the sector, which is being hit particularly hard as cafés, bars and restaurants remain closed and contact with other people must be avoided as much as possible as per the government's far-reaching measures.
The group indicates that it will study the position of its cafes on a case-by-case basis in order to combat the ongoing health crisis in an efficient way.
The news comes after it was announced that various Belgian brewers would be suspending production until further notice.
