What's your favourite pizza place in Brussels? You might need to re-evaluate your answer, because a third place in the Belgian capital has just made it into the top 50 pizzerias in Europe this year.
Every year, the Italian company Top 50 Pizza releases its ranking for the best pizzerias in Europe (but outside Italy, naturally).
Two Belgian pizza restaurants have long been on the list: La Piola Pizza (ranking 15th this year) in Brussels and La Pizza è Bella (19th). While the rating of the latter technically refers to the branch in Antwerp, its Brussels counterparts (on Place Jourdan and Sablon) get a mention too.
This year, however, a third pizzeria has joined the list. In 46th place is 'naPizzà. Those who want to try for themselves will have to journey outside the city centre a bit further, but the restaurant is still located close to the European Quarter, on Van Meyel Square in the municipality of Etterbeek.
'NaPizzà has quickly become "the favourite spot in Brussels for lovers of authentic Neapolitan pizza," according to Top 50 Pizza.
In addition to pizza, clients can sit on the terrace and enjoy a long list of appetisers and good wines, mainly coming from southern Italy – where many of the pizzas and their ingredients also come from.
Did the Italians pick the right places, or are they wrong? Let @Maajtee know.
