American punk rock group Green Day will headline the 2025 edition of the music festival Rock Werchter, the organisers announced on Friday. Pre-registration for tickets is now open.
This will be the fourth time the California trio perform at the Belgian festival near Leuven, having previously played there in 2005, 2010, and 2013. They are set to take the stage on Friday 4 July next year.
Green Day has sold over 75 million records and garnered 10 billion streams. The band gained fame with their 1994 album "Dookie" and later reached a new generation of fans with "American Idiot" in 2004.
Tickets will go on sale on 22 November at 10:00. Until then, fans can pre-register online starting today.
The 50th edition of the Rock Werchter festival will take place from Thursday 3 July to Sunday 6 July 2025. More musical acts are yet to be announced.
