The ex-partner of the woman killed in Schaerbeek on Tuesday night was placed under arrested for manslaughter, revealed the Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office on Thursday.
The woman was stabbed in a common landing in a home around Avenue Diamant in Schaerbeek. The Brussels North police zone was called onto the scene around 20:40.
Emergency services attended to the woman at the scene but she eventually succumbed to her injuries. Two people were placed under arrest.
One of the people is the victim's ex-boyfriend, who is now under investigation for manslaughter. The other person has since been released.
