It’s hard to find places in Belgium to cool off in the summer, but Bruges has come up with a smart plan.
The city has closed off a stretch of the Coupure canal and constructed a wooden pontoon to create a 30-metre open-air swimming pool.
It’s not wild swimming. But it’s still a fun way to end a hot day in Bruges.
The pool has showers, toilets and lifeguards. And the water quality is closely monitored.
No entry charge and no need to book. Open in the afternoon and early evening until the last day of August.
