Brussels Gallery Weekend, various locations, Thursday 8 – Sunday 11 September
For the 15th edition of The Brussels Gallery Weekend, a record number of 47 galleries and 16 institutions, as well as a multitude of artist-run spaces will open their doors to the public to launch the artistic season.

This year, the BGW will also include a new concept which will see various "monumental" works of art being displayed in the prestigious surroundings of the Imprimerie — the former printing plant of Belgium's national bank. See here for full details.
Organ Meditation, Church of the Dominicans, Sunday 11 September
Looking for an original way to end your weekend in full relaxation? Romanian pianist Olivia Afendulis will be hosting this week's Organ Meditations at the Church of the Dominicans near Parc du Cinquantenaire.
Time to sit back, relax and take in the sounds of the organ reverberating across the grand church's nave, the perfect way to end a week and mentally prepare for the next.
Eat, drink and be merry
Brussels Artisan Market, BE-HERE Laeken, Saturday 10 September
From 12:00 to 18:30, the Laeken "sustainable village" BE-HERE will be transformed into an artisan market where visitors can enjoy the food and drink products being served, and scour the market for jewellery, illustrations, textiles, decoration and cosmetics from some 40 unique and local companies.

Brussels Food Festival, Auderghem, Friday 9 – Sunday 11 September
An unmissable event for all Brussels foodies. Treat yourself and your taste buds to a journey of culinary discoveries, freshly prepared at a fair price by 30 different establishments, from specialist hotdogs to real French crêpes.
A selection of organic beers will be on tap, along with refreshing cocktails (or a fresh juice for those doing Sober September). A full list of participating establishments can be viewed here.
Wanderlust Craft Beer Festival, Place du Marché aux Poissons, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 September
Sad that last weekend's Belgian Beer Weekend is over? Fret not, another beer festival is on its way. Organised by our very own Brussels Beer Project, the festival will see no fewer than 14 craft breweries from ten different countries — from Australia and Spain to Italy, and Denmark — take over the square in Brussels city centre.

BC Comic Strip Festival, Tour & Taxis, Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September
The Comic Strip Festival is back and revamped this weekend, including with a new name (BD Comic Strip Festival). This year's edition marks the 70th anniversary of Marsupilami, a comic book character and fictional animal species created by André Franquin.

During the exhibition at Gare Maritime and Tour & Taxis, the comic book will include the presence of the world's favourite characters and authors, as well as various workshops, screenings and book signing sessions.

Enter the oasis of underground music. Five years ago, a group of Brussels locals first launched this unique concept which aims to be sustainable and waste-free, in an even more unique location (the castle of Grimbergen, near the capital).
