Belgium and the United States have long worked together in the fight against cross-border organised crime, drug trafficking, and terrorism, which both countries have decided to pursue.
Last week, the US Attorney General Merrick Garland met with Belgium's Federal Justice Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne (Open VLD) in he American capital of Washington DC.
During the meeting, Van Quickenborne advocated for better information exchange between the transatlantic divide to "further disrupt transnational organised crime and drug trafficking."
