The illegal party at a hangar on a former military domain in Limburg, which started on the night of Friday to Saturday and is being attended by some 5,000 partygoers, could keep going until Monday.
The organisers of the party, who do not have a permit for the event, broke into the military domain to get into the hangar with a music system, drinks and food in hand. By 23:00, the first revellers had been spotted near the military compound, where other illegal parties have reportedly been organised in the past.
Within a few hours, thousands of people descended from the Netherlands and Germany, among others, to join the festivities. By the early hours of Saturday morning, loud music could still be heard coming from the site. It is unclear who organised the event.

The mayor of Sint-Truiden Ingrid Kempeneers confirmed that the local police of the Sint-Truiden-Gingelom-Nieuwerkerken zone and military personnel had their hands full with the revellers and that the police are on the scene en masse, but due to the large number of people, they are not intervening.

According to those who are still arriving, the party would last even until Monday, VRT NWS reported. “The intention is to let the party die out peacefully. No one has been arrested," she said, adding that, in case of any violations, police officers "will, of course, make the necessary determinations."
In the meantime, the authorities are focussing on ensuring road traffic, as thousands of cars from different countries have been parked in the nearby streets, some in front of house and garage entrances.
