A motorcyclist from the Hells Angels biker gang was arrested in the Walloon region of Borinage last weekend, La Dernière Heure reports, though the reason for the arrest has not been revealed.
The motorcycle club made its name in the United States as an outlaw group of bikers during the 1960s and 1970s and was a visible part of the counter-culture movement. The Hells Angels' Belgian chapter was subsequently created in 1997.
One of their Belgian members was arrested over the weekend, with reports stating that they had been participating in Ascension Day festivities.
