The Jane restaurant in Antwerp has once again been ranked on the influential 'World's Best 50 Restaurants' list this year.
In the 21st edition of the eagerly anticipated list of the world's 50 best restaurants, the Flemish city's crown and jewel – run by Nick Bril who was crowned Belgium's Chef of the Year last year by French restaurant guide Gault&Millau – ranked 39th, down from 23rd last year.
"Located on the site of a former military hospital dating back to the 19th century, The Jane has been re-fitted to feel like a true temple to gastronomy and is no doubt among the most architecturally beautiful restaurants in the world," the 'World's Best 50 Restaurants' website wrote.
"From design and art to staff uniforms and music, chef-owner Nick Bril enlivens all senses at this church to fine dining, where he welcomes up to 200 guests on a daily basis."

The eatery is also the only Belgian one to make the top 50 this year, as the Kruisem three-star restaurant Hof van Cleve, where Peter Goossens is still the chef until the end of this year, was left in 52nd place, down from 27th in 2022.
