'Tim Burton's Labyrinth', an immersive exhibition in the form of a maze which explores the fantastical world of American director, screenwriter and producer Tim Burton, opens on Friday 20 October at Tour & Taxis.
After welcoming over 500,000 visitors in Madrid and Paris, the interactive labyrinth is now coming to Brussels from October until February 2024.
Visitors will be able to wander around at their leisure, following the route they choose from 300 possible itineraries. Behind the many doors will be rooms displaying the artist's creations: sets, costumes, original drawings and life-size statues, such as that of Edward Scissorhands.

The exhibition aims to remind visitors of the man behind numerous illustrations, paintings and photographs. It takes the public on a journey through 15 rooms, with each room corresponding to one of the artist's favourite themes, such as animals, death, or monsters.
In addition to chapters from his book 'The Art of Tim Burton', the director's cinematographic work is highlighted, notably through immersive and interactive installations that bring to life his drawings, paintings and photographs produced over more than 40 years.
"The Labyrinth promises a journey into the filmmaker's inner world: from 'Alice in Wonderland' to 'Mars Attacks!', 'Mr Jack's Christmas', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' and 'Beetlejuice' [...] Around 100 original works, all created by Tim Burton, will be on show to visitors along a fun, colourful and enchanting route," the organisers stated. The tour lasts 45 minutes.

Designed for young and old alike, the exhibition, put together by Spanish company Letsgo in collaboration with Tim Burton, will be on show at Tour & Taxis' Sheds from 20 October.
This is not the first Tim Burton exhibition to come to Belgium. In 2018, 'The World of Tim Burton' attracted nearly 80,000 people to Genk.
