On Sunday, nine winter sports centres in the Eastern Cantons offered the pleasures of skiing.
Skiers and sledders had access to a total of 28 usable slopes. The cold weather has maintained the snow cover in the far east of the territory.
While snowshoers will need to remain patient, ski enthusiasts can choose between cross-country and alpine skiing.
At Baraque Michel and Signal de Botrange in the Hautes Fagnes, all slopes are open, though paths need to be carved out in the snow.
Losheimergraben offers walkers 13 centimetres of snow on marked trails.
Further north, Weywertz has accessible 2 km and 4 km trails for children, along with a dedicated sledging slope.
Near Malmedy, Mont Spinette offers 4 km and 11 km trails for visitors.
Rocherath, with its peak at 650 metres, Herzebösch with two of its four trails (2 km or 5 km), and Ternell with its 15-centimetre snow cover on marked and unmarked trails, also provide fresh air and outdoor activities.
The Ovifat area caters to those who prefer alpine skiing or sledging.
From Wednesday onwards, temperatures are expected to rise above 0°C, according to the Royal Meteorological Institute, likely bringing winter sports to a temporary halt.
