In connection with an investigation into the importation of packages containing marijuana, fourteen people have been arrested in Belgium and Spain in recent weeks and months.

The local drug investigation unit of the Antwerp police has seized multiple postal packages. A total of 25 kilograms of marijuana was discovered.

The packages were sent from Málaga. In a September 2024 operation, Antwerp police arrested eleven individuals and confiscated over ten kilograms of drugs. Analysis of seized mobile phones led to the identification of several suspects in Spain.

On 5 February, in collaboration with the Policía Nacional, three simultaneous house searches were conducted in Málaga. Three suspects were arrested, and six kilograms of marijuana were found.

Police also confiscated several vacuum machines, packaging materials, and €4,500 in cash. The results of the analysis of the Spanish bank accounts are still awaited.
