Rail traffic will be halted between Halle and Enghien and between Halle and Brussels-Luxembourg over the weekend of 15 and 16 March, announced SNCB and Infrabel on Thursday.
Infrabel, the infrastructure manager, will carry out track work on the Buizingen-Halle-Lembeek and Tubize sections. The work will include the maintenance of several switches and the replacement of some sleepers and rails.
Signal maintenance will also be conducted during the traffic shutdown. These works are necessary to ensure the safety and quality of rail traffic, Infrabel stated.
SNCB will provide alternative transport options to maintain the service. Travellers can find information on the SNCB app and website.
