A 36-year-old man was sentenced on Wednesday by the Liège Criminal Court for rape, sexual assault, and the making and distribution of sexual recordings.
The crimes took place in 2019 and 2020 against three women. One of the victims was his partner, whom he raped and harassed. He admitted to forcing her to have sex while she was asleep, to "fulfil one of his fantasies."
The defendant also made a video of his best friend who was asleep while he exposed his genitals to her face. He also filmed and performed sexual acts on a third woman whilst she slept.
The recordings were posted on specialised websites. The victims only found out later that the acts had been committed in their sleep.
The defendant was handed a five-year prison sentence, half of which was suspended.
