The FOREM is to hold 10 job fairs in Wallonia in the coming weeks for former Audi Forest workers, according to the regional employment and vocational training service.

The closure of the Audi Forest car factory in late February 2025 has directly affected 1,205 Walloon and cross-border workers, including 1,000 from the province of Hainaut alone.

“To support the cells and Audi workers during this transition and following the national job fair in Brussels on 3 April, 10 regional job fairs will take place, mainly from May to June, with six in Hainaut, Walloon Brabant, and Namur. They will also be open to all job seekers,” the FOREM announced.

It added that 27 companies, primarily from the industrial sector, have shown interest in participating.

The job fairs are scheduled for Welkenraedt (13 May), Jambes (15 May), Mons (27 May), Les Isnes, Gembloux, (3 June), La Louvière (11 June), Charleroi (18 June), Tournai (19 June), Nivelles (24 June), Libramont (24 June) and Seraing (2 October).
