A TUI Fly flight from Eindhoven to Hurghada has been grounded since Friday due to technical issues.
The plane made a stopover in Sharm-el-Sheikh, where technicians attempted to repair it but were unsuccessful. Passengers, including 40 Belgians, were taken to a hotel after waiting for three and a half hours.
They have been repeatedly told they could continue to Hurghada, but as of Monday, they were still stuck in Sharm-el-Sheikh.
On Sunday night, their flight was cancelled at the last minute while they were already on board, according to HLN.
TUI is now sending a replacement plane from Eindhoven to fly the passengers from Sharm-el-Sheikh to Hurghada.
The flight is scheduled to depart at 16:00 today, said Petra Kok, spokesperson for TUI Netherlands. Affected passengers will receive compensation.
