A 37-year-old man was stabbed near Place Flagey in the municipality of Ixelles on Wednesday evening. The Brussels Public Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the victim had to be taken to hospital but that his life was not believed to be in danger.
The police were called at around 22:20 after a fight broke out between two men at a petrol station near the square in Ixelles. When they arrived at the scene, they found that one of the participants had been stabbed in his right forearm.
While his prognosis is not life-threatening, he has remained in hospital since; an investigation is currently ongoing to determine the exact circumstances that led to the incident.
