Man convicted on various drug charges after school bust

A man in Lubbeek (Flemish Brabant) was arrested after his stepson was caught selling ecstasy pills at school. The 15-year-old was caught by his principal after having sold the pills to classmates. When he was questioned, he confessed to where he found the pills.

It was discovered that he had found them at this house and they belonged to his stepdad. The police found ecstasy, speed and marijuana in a freezer in their garage and in a safe in the bedroom along with a precision scale, cash and jewellery.

The stepdad confessed that the drugs were for his own use and distribution. He has been sentenced to a suspended prison sentence of 36 months in prison. The man has been in pre-trial detention for months and is on the right track, according to the judge. The man has a permanent job and is in therapy for drug addiction.
