Proximus raises its tariffs again

Proximus says it will raise its tariffs from July, for the second time this year, invoking increased inflation.

In concrete terms, Flex packs including a TV subscription will cost an extra €3 per month, an average increase of 4%, depending on the composition. "The increase concerns the rental of the decoder and reflects the rise in the prices of materials and hardware," Proximus says.

The prices of some Internet offers will also go up on 1 July. While the entry-level product, Internet Essential, will not cost more, Internet Maxi and Internet Maxi Fiber connections will cost €1 more per month, a 2% increase.

On the mobile side, the price of the Mobilus S subscription will not change, but Mobilus M and Mobilus Maxi will increase by €3 and €5 respectively. However, these increases will be accompanied by higher data volumes. If the subscription is included in a package, the price will not change.

Finally, the fixed line subscription will cost €1 more per month, while customers who choose to make calls between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on weekdays will see their tariffs increase by €0.88 to €1.

Proximus says it understands the distress of customers faced with this news but stresses that it has to deal with inflation and the attendant increases in the cost of salaries, energy and technological equipment such as decoders and modems.
