Passengers will be able to fly directly from Brussels Airport in Zaventem to 180 destinations during the summer season, which starts on 30 March. Compared to last summer, there are six new destinations, the airport announced on Friday.

Several new summer destinations have been part of the Brussels Airport network since the winter, such as Curaçao (TUI fly) and Bangkok (Thai Airways International). Closer to home, direct connections are being launched to the French cities of Bordeaux (easyJet and Transavia) and Montpellier (Transavia).

From June, Delta will fly again to Atlanta in the southeastern United States. From the beginning of August, Cathay Pacific will also restart flights to Hong Kong. Both connections were stopped during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Brussels Airport has also lost some destinations. At the start of the previous summer season, the network consisted of 178 destinations, the airport operator announced at the time.

A total of 68 airlines will be active at Brussels Airport. The largest customer is Brussels Airlines, which flies to 90 destinations. TUI fly has 66.
