A new experimental night celebrating the "art of liquid chemistry" is coming to the trendy private members club TheMerode on Place Poelaert located between the Louise and Marolles districts.

Under the musical direction of Dour festival organiser Mathieu Fonsny, ökēn experimental cocktail bar is a stimulating architectural experience that awakens the senses for a night of atmospheric socialising.

Welcoming both members and non-members of the private club, the event flaunts top mixologist Alexis Mosselmans as he reinvents the cocktail bar experience through a refined and personalised tasting experience. With carefully selected ingredients, Mosselmans' distinguished flavour palate promises to impress.

Brussels-based studio Erased Studio activates the five senses with its architectural design through intimate lighting and scents to match each auditory energy. The scenography, composed of varied textures and materials, also immerses visitors in the gastronomic cocktail-tasting experience.

The seated section of the evening from 18:00 to 22:00 showcases a programme of old-school jazz music accompanied by cocktail-making demonstrations and tasting, with unique takes on the classics. From 22:00 onwards, guests can dance the night away.

Admission is free to members, while non-members pay €15 after 22:00. Members hold seated and standing priority and can invite two guests free of charge.

Ökēn officially opens to the public on Thursday 10 April. Find more information here.
