Around 3,000 people gathered on Monday night in the shadow of the Atomium to watch Belgian DJ Amelie Lens perform a sold-out show.
Lens' DJ set kicked off at 21:00 and lasted one and a half hours. Broadcast live on Cercle's Facebook page, it was viewed more than 700,000 times. An opening performance by Milo Spykers and a closing set by Farrago flanked her performance. The Atomium was illuminated during the event, tickets for which sold out after being online for three hours, according to the organisers.
Known as an uncompromising perfectionist in her work, Lens has experienced a meteoric rise in a few years and earned her place on the international stage. A producer as well, she has staged her own events that have appeared on the bill at the biggest festivals and created her own label (Lenske).
