€1 trillion in bitcoin value was lost in April and May of this year as investors unloaded volatile assets amid rising inflation. On Monday, 13 June, bitcoin dropped 18% to reach €20,037, an 18-month low. Bitcoin value has decreased by 50% so far in 2022.
