The international bus services FlixBus and Eurolines, which usually both have stops in front of the Brussels North train station, will temporarily move to another location just around the corner, on Boulevard Roi Albert II.

The temporary stop will be created at the end of October due to the demolition of the CCN building to make way for four towers surrounded by squares. The facade of the old Brussels North station building should become visible after the works.

In addition to demolishing the CCN building, the project will redesign the entire public space around the North Station. This will have an impact on the FlixBus and Eurolines stops. It is not yet clear how long the international buses will halt at the new stop.

Pieterjan Desmet, spokesperson for the cabinet of the Brussels Mobility Minister, explained that "It is not yet clear where the buses will have their final stop and what their final route will be... We want to keep all options open for a nice redevelopment of the neighbourhood."

Brussels State Secretary for Urbanism Pascal Smet would prefer to turn the area into a mixed space, with homes, hospitality venues, a few hotels and lots of greenery. "We don't want any more monofunctional offices there."
