The American rock band Queens of the Stone Age will perform at Rock Werchter on 2 July 2023, the festival organisers announced on Wednesday.
Queens of the Stone Age will be the fourth confirmed headliner, after Stromae, Muse and Arctic Monkeys.
The band, formed in 1996, first performed after Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme dissolved his previous band Kyuss. Musicians in several other bands have played with Queens of the Stone Age in its early days, including members of Dinosaur Jr., Monster Magnet and Soundgarden.
It was the album “Songs for the Deaf” that brought the band to global stardom in 2002, containing modern rock anthems "No One Knows" and "Go With the Flow".
