The Kinepolis cinema chain welcomed 8.1 million movie-goers throughout the first three months of 2023 – 36.1% more than during the same period last year.
The latest figures are nearing levels before the pandemic, with 91.6% of visitors recorded in 2019.
These results mark an "excellent first quarter" of the year, according to Kinepolis, which also saw them undergo an increase in audience revenues.
The cinema also added that ticket sales "were higher than during the same period" in 2019. It is expecting continued growth.
