Ryanair will run direct flights from Charleroi Airport to Amman, Jordan, from 1 November this year, the low-cost carrier announced on Thursday.
"We are delighted to be bringing even more choice and value to our Belgian customers with the addition of this new Amman route to our Winter '23 schedule, offering our customers in Brussels even more choice when planning their winter getaways," the airline's Director of Communications Dara Brady said in a press release.
Ryanair is embroiled in an ongoing standoff with employees at its hub in Charleroi, with pilots having gone on strike three times since mid-July.
Workers accuse the carrier of harvesting bumper profits while failing to reverse salary cuts implemented during the Covid-19 crisis. They also allege that Ryanair has violated a previous agreement regulating pilot rest times.
